Samsung joins forces with Q Cells to develop zero-energy home solutions Leave a comment

Homes today are full of IoT devices that can be powerful as many times as they need to be kept on. But it is just as important to maintain household energy efficiency, if not for economic reasons, at least for environmental reasons.

Q Cells are a South Korea-based solar power cells and module producer.
The two companies will focus on finding homes that produce their own electricity from renewable energy sources to reduce carbon emissions.
Samsung will provide an eco-friendly heating system (EHS) heat pump and a system that efficiently manages energy consumed by various smart home appliances.
According to Samsung, a zero energy home is energy self-sufficient by utilizing energy that is drawn from the home itself. This requires both the production of energy from renewable sources and the reduction of energy consumption.
